Recruiting v. Placement
Recruiting. Placement. Are they the same?
We regularly interview creative and editorial professionals, so we may already know someone who is perfectly qualified for your open position. We will be happy to recommend a pre-qualified candidate for placement if we believe we can make a proper match. However, we view our existing talent pool as nothing more than a starting point for our recruiting efforts. We will begin recruiting for your position immediately, and will continue to source new candidates on an ongoing basis until the position has been filled. We avoid the “big boards,” and instead utilize resources within the local creative and editorial communities.

Brainstorm Creative Resources’ recruiting practice offers contingency-based billing. We only bill clients for services rendered if they have been…well, rendered. We believe this creates an incentive to produce results.
We also offer clients two ways to monitor our recruiting efforts. First, all recruiting activities are logged in a progress report spreadsheet which you can request to review at any time. Second, all applicants and candidates who are considered for your open position are reviewed in a snapshot-style comparison list, which is updated and delivered to your in-box on a weekly basis. Upon completion of the recruitment process, we will provide a complete Applicant Review comparison list, so that you may consider highly qualified applicants and candidates for other positions within your company.
The Applicant/Candidate Interview Process
Our interview process begins with a two-hour in-person meeting, during which time we discuss past work experiences and use behavioral event interviewing techniques to put applicants and candidates in real-life problem solving situations. We conduct thorough portfolio reviews and ask all candidates to demonstrate their skills via the successful completion of a computer-based evaluation. All candidates also undergo a thorough reference check. You can ask to see evaluation results or reference check summaries for recommended candidates at any time.

Billing
Our terms for recruiting and placement services are are Net 30.
Guarantees
We offer a ninety-day, sliding-scale guarantee on permanent placements. If you become dissatisfied with a placement any time during the first thirty days of a new hire’s employment, we will either refund the full placement fee or refill the position at no charge. After thirty days, we will refund seventy-five percent of the placement fee or apply an equivalent dollar amount to a future placement. After sixty days, you will be eligible to receive a fifty percent refund or you can choose to apply an equivalent dollar amount to a future placement.
