The Interview Process
Our interview process begins with a two-hour in-person meeting. We talk with candidates about past work experiences and use behavioral event interviewing techniques to put them in real-life problem solving situations. We conduct thorough portfolio reviews and ask all candidates to demonstrate their skills via the successful completion of a computer-based evaluation. All candidates also undergo a thorough reference check. You can ask to see evaluation results or reference check summaries for recommended candidates at any time.
Getting To Know You
Good relationships develop over time, and are the result of personal interactions and the sharing of information. In other words, the more we know about your business, the better we can assist you. If you would like us to visit your office for a meeting, please let us know. Don’t have time for a meeting? That’s OK too. If you are racing toward a deadline, just give us a call.
The Temporary Placement Request
We accept requests for same-day and next-day temporary assignments, as well as those that may be scheduled to begin any number of days, weeks or months in the future. Don’t worry if you aren’t quite sure what to tell us about your needs. We will ask the right questions, and then listen closely to your answers.
On-Site v. Off-Site
On-site or off-site: The choice is yours. We know which freelance professionals and temporary employees like to work with clients at their places of business and which would rather work from an off-site location. When we make introductions, you can rest assured that we are matching you with people who are prepared to work where and when you need them.
Bill Rates
We talk with employers and freelance professionals about bill rates every day. We know how much talented creative and editorial professionals bill for their time, and what the majority of employers believe are acceptable fees to pay for design and editorial services. The freelancers who work for our clients appreciate the value we bring to their lives, so they work for us at slightly reduced rates. We pass the savings on to you. Billing
We bill clients on a weekly basis for work performed during the previous week. Billing terms are Net 30.
Temporary-To-Permanent Transitions
We know that if we do our jobs well, you might just want to hire a few of the talented professionals we send your way. If you are interested in hiring a temporary employee, please let us know. We will talk with the employee about his or her experiences at your workplace, and then let you know if he or she is interested in joining your team. At your request, we will be happy to play an active role in the employee transition process. Guarantees
If you are dissatisfied with a placement for any reason, and you communicate your dissatisfaction to us before the end of the first day of a new assignment, billing for the assignment will be waived. Additionally, we understand that it is often not possible to determine the value of a person’s participation during the first day of a temporary or freelance assignment. We are available to discuss employee performance throughout the assignment lifecycle. If you determine at a point late in an assignment that a Brainstorm Creative Resources freelance professional has delivered an inadequate product, we will work with you to remedy the situation.
